Goalie Prospects

Their real numbers — save percentage, GAA, record — which this page never had: the source feed carried skater columns only, so a goalie showed up with “0 goals, 0 assists”. No ranking score, and the panel below explains why we refuse to invent one.

These are deliberately unranked. We backtested a goalie model on the 147 drafted goalies in the pool. It reaches r = 0.478 against real NHL workload — but the draft pick alone reaches 0.463. Every junior stat we can compute (save %, GAA, age) adds 0.015. A goalie score would be the draft order wearing a lab coat, so we don't publish one.
P(NHL) below is real and calibrated — of the goalies it put at 50–75%, 60% actually made it; of those at 0–25%, just 9% did. But be clear about where that signal comes from: where he was drafted, not how he has played. Sorted by P(NHL) — a presentation order, not a claim that we can rank them.

“Starter in” is years to a 40+ game NHL season, not years to the NHL. A backup who plays 25 games has made it and will never hit 40 — for a goalie, workload is the fantasy asset, so that's the milestone worth timing. It runs long because goalies genuinely take that long.
Save % and GAA are derived from saves and goals-against, not from the feed's own rate columns — a goalie who played for two clubs has two rows, and the average of two save percentages is not his save percentage.
