Team previews
Every club, written the same way: where the model has them finishing, the projected lines and pairs with each man's points beside him, both special-teams units, the schedule shape that decides weekly leagues, and the camp battles still open. The lineup is a sandbox — move a player up a line or onto PP1 and every projection on the page moves with him, so you can price a promotion before the coach makes it.
Articles
Written off the same projections as everything else here, and every name, number and stat line in them traces to a row in the database rather than a turn of phrase.

Draft centre
Three steps, in order. Read the league, settle on the numbers you trust, then take them to the draft — on the portal if you want your picks synced live, on the workbook if you want a board that needs no connection at all. Draft night is exactly when a site you depend on is least likely to be the thing you want to depend on.
1Read the league
Where the tiers break, who the room will overpay for, and what your own schedule does to a roster.
2Settle your numbers
Every draft surface below reads whichever of these you pick. Change nothing and you draft off the model.
3Draft
The portal syncs your picks from Yahoo or ESPN as they happen. The workbook needs no connection at all.

Fantasy hockey draft FAQ
When is the 2026-27 fantasy hockey draft season?

NHL opening night is September 29, 2026, so most fantasy drafts run from roughly September 8 through 28. Rankings, tiers and sleepers on this page are updated daily through that window.

Can I get fantasy hockey rankings for my own league's scoring?

Yes. Link your Yahoo, ESPN or Fantrax league and the entire guide — tiers, values, sleepers and the round-by-round plan — re-scores for your league's exact categories and point values, not a generic default.

How are these projections built?

Four seasons of player rates, recency-weighted and regressed to a position baseline by sample size, age-adjusted, with goals blended toward expected goals. The method is backtested against held-out seasons.

What's the difference between a points league and a categories league here?

Points leagues rank by projected fantasy points using your scoring weights; categories leagues rank by your edge in each counted stat as summed z-scores. The guide switches between them, and a banger-league board looks very different from a points board.
