The Dallas Stars just made a trio of roster moves: Matt Duchene has been placed on LTIR, retroactive to Sept. 29. Colin Blackwell and Arttu Hyry have been recalled from Texas (AHL) #TexasHockey

@OwenNewkirk · 9/25

Tyler Seguin will play tonight at MIN - his first game action since tearing his ACL at MSG last season. Matt Duchene & Colin Blackwell skated with the team this morning. Both should be cleared for full participation on Sunday. Same with Jake Oettinger, who did not skate today.

Injury updates36

NEW@DallasStars · 10/4

For Tyler Seguin, recovery is a journey of perspective. After a devastating ACL injury sidelined him last season, he found peace on the golf course, strength in his family, and purpose in his teammates to navigate the road back. https://t.co/xReOCfMOIz

NEW@Lassimak · 10/3

Roope Hintz said he’s feeling fine and he thinks he got lucky that the injury wasn’t worse.

Matt Duchene has been placed on LTIR retroactive to Sept. 29, and the Stars have recalled Colin Blackwell and Arttu Hyry.

@Lassimak · 9/30

Glen Gulutzan added that the injury is unrelated to Duchene’s concussion from last season.

@Lassimak · 9/30

Matt Duchene is doubtful for the season opener, Glen Gulutzan said. He had a setback while on the road. It’s the same injury from the start of camp. Lower-body. Stars are planning to go 11-7 against the Blues.

@OwenNewkirk · 9/30

Glen Gulutzan said Matt Duchene suffered a little bit of a setback with his lower body injury and is back in a maintenance program. Duchene is doubtful for Friday’s season opener and Gulutzan is expecting to go with 11F/7D against St. Louis.

@OwenNewkirk · 9/30

Casey DeSmith has signed a two year extension with the Dallas Stars, worth $5 million ($2.5M AAV). DeSmith, who would’ve been a UFA next summer, now gets a handsome raise - the largest AAV of his career. Well deserved! Important move after Rémi Poirier was claimed off waivers.

@Lassimak · 9/30

The Stars have signed Casey DeSmith to a two-year contract extension worth $2.5 million annually, which kicks in next season.
