Brock Faber will open season on injured reserve retroactive to last Friday. So Wild Dman will miss Thursday’s season opener but theoretically could be activated as early as Saturday’s home opener. David Spacek and Charlie Stramel have made initial roster.

#mnwild cut roster significantly by placing Carson Lambos, Mason Shaw, Tyler Pitlick, Justin Kirkland, Matt Kiersted, Caeden Bankier, Dylan Gambrell and Roman Schmidt on waivers and reassigning to Iowa Hunter Haight, Riley Heidt, Rieger Lorenz, Viking Gustafsson Nyberg, Ben Dexheimer, Jagger Joshua and Rasmus Kumpulainen. If the players on waivers clear at 1 p.m. Friday, they’ll be reassigned to Iowa, too. Basically, Charlie Stramel and David Spacek remain and will be in the NHL group at least the next 3 days
