Draft workbook

The offline half of the draft room. A board you type picks into on a second screen, with best-available, VORP against replacement level, position scarcity, the ledger, every roster, the standings and the pick log all recalculating as you go — with no network connection at all, which matters more than it sounds: draft night is exactly when a site you depend on is least likely to be the thing you want to depend on.

League

Naming your site is not cosmetic: it sets position eligibility and ADP. The four sites disagree about both — Fantrax has Draisaitl at C/LW where a generic board has him at centre, and Vasilevskiy goes 11th on Yahoo and 70th on Fantrax.

Starters per team

W takes either wing, F takes any forward, UTIL takes any skater, and each pushes replacement level deeper for the positions that can fill it — W across the wings only, F across the forwards only.

What is in it

Read meWhat each sheet is for and how the file is meant to be used on the night, written into the workbook so it travels with the file rather than living on this page.
DraftThe whole night on one sheet: the entry rail with who is on the clock above it, the forty best available with your categories, the ledger, the best man left at each position, and your own roster filling in as your turns come up.
BoardThe grid, filled from the Draft sheet. Your column is highlighted.
By positionBest available at each position, side by side, for when the question is not who is best but who is best at the seat you still have open.
Auction ValuesAUCTION LEAGUES ONLY. Where each man's dollars come from, category by category, measured against the man who sets replacement at his position. Negative means he gives you less there than replacement does — the cost of the categories he cannot help you in.
ScarcityReplacement level per position, how many are gone, and the cliff below the best man left.
PlayersThe whole pool. Drafted men grey out and strike through; filter the Gone column to hide them.
My teamYour roster and your running category totals.
RostersEvery team's roster with category totals, not just yours.
StandingsThose totals ranked, plus roster shape: first-unit power plays, top lines, top pairs, killers, position counts.
StrengthsYour totals against par, pro-rated to the picks you have actually made.
Cheat sheetOne page, built to print: tiers by position with the numbers that decide a pick and nothing that does not.
ChangelogWhat has moved in the projections since the last snapshot. The file is taken offline and used for weeks while the numbers behind it keep changing; this is the diff.

The workbook costs nothing to build. It is made and paid for by one person, so if it earns its place on your second screen on draft night, you can support it on Ko-fi.
