Week 2: Top Adds Under 30% Owned: Pinto, Kindel, Foerster
Published 4 October 2026, 7:49 am ET
The top 40 skaters on 30% of ESPN rosters or fewer for the week of October 5 to October 11, ranked for banger leagues by default: projected goals, assists, power-play points, shots, hits and blocks for the week, each weighted in shot units, so a four-game schedule counts for what it adds. Switch to points leagues to re-rank by projected fantasy points.
This week's light nights are Mon, Wed, Fri, Sun. 19 of the top 40 get four games.
Every team's week
Light nights are shaded. A four-game team on light nights is the schedule a streamer wants; two games on the busiest nights is the one to stream around.

Shaded = light night (fewer than 8 games on the slate), when a streamer is most likely to fill an empty lineup slot. Filled = home, @ = away. Regular season only.
The adds
Use the controls to narrow the ownership ceiling, keep only top-line or PP1 players, pick the nights you need filled, switch between week projections and each player's last ten games, or re-rank under the outside consensus or last season's rates. Filters search 128 players, not only the 40 shown. S+H+B appears raw and weighted.

Kodo model. Ranked by projected banger value for the week: goals, assists, power-play points, shots, hits and blocks, each weighted in shot units (a goal counts 5.4, a hit 0.9, a block 1.4), over the games the player's club plays.
CBS: Shoulder: IR. Expected to be out until at least Oct 9
Availability: ESPN injury status (checked 2026-10-04 01:24 UTC). Out, injured reserve and suspended players are removed; day-to-day players stay, badged. S+H+B is shots + hits + blocks. wS+H+B weights them by scarcity, in shot units: a hit counts 0.87 shots and a block 1.40. Lines are each club's newest lineup (a beat-writer post, the last game, or our projected chart, as labelled). PP and PK share are the player's share of the club's power-play and shorthanded time in the games played.

The top 5 for points leagues
Points leagues score production: 2 per goal, 1 per assist, 0.5 per power-play point and 0.1 per shot, with a power-play point counting on top of the goal or assist it came with. Hits and blocks do not count. This list is ranked for upside: projected fantasy points per game in each player's current role, so a top-six forward on the first power-play unit outranks a third-liner whose four-game week inflates his total. Players need at least three games this week; the week total breaks ties. Switch the card to Points to see the top 40.
1. Roman Kantserov, CHI R (11.1% owned)
Kantserov plays 3 games (Tue vs STL, Thu @ NYI, Sat vs CAR), for 4.9 projected fantasy points in his current role, 1.62 a game (4.2 on his season rates alone; 1.1 goals, 0.9 assists, 0.7 power-play points, 8.3 shots). Over the last 2 games: 64% of the power play, at 16:52 a night. Last 2 NHL games: 0 goals, 0 assists, 1 shot.

Schedule plays: four games, three or more on light nights
For daily-lineup leagues, where a game only counts if you have an open slot for it. These players skate on a top-six line or the first power-play unit and play four times this week, at least three of them on nights with few games, so nearly every game can go into a lineup.
Egor Chinakhov (PIT R, 12.1% owned): Line 2 and PP2. Mon vs WPG (light), Wed @ WSH (light), Fri @ CBJ (light), Sat vs DAL. Projected 1.04 fantasy points a game, 4.2 for the week.
Ben Kindel (PIT C, 7.2% owned): Line 4 and PP1. Mon vs WPG (light), Wed @ WSH (light), Fri @ CBJ (light), Sat vs DAL. Projected 1.00 fantasy points a game, 4.0 for the week.
Tommy Novak (PIT C, 1.7% owned): Line 2 and PP1. Mon vs WPG (light), Wed @ WSH (light), Fri @ CBJ (light), Sat vs DAL. Projected 0.98 fantasy points a game, 3.9 for the week.

How the list is built
Two rankings of the same week. Banger leagues (the default): projected goals, assists, power-play points, shots, hits and blocks for the week, each weighted in shot units by how widely it varies across the league (G 5.37, A 3.43, PPP 5.52, SOG 1, HIT 0.88, BLK 1.41). Points leagues: projected fantasy points per game at G 2, A 1, PPP 0.5, SOG 0.1, in each player's current role (line and power-play unit), among players with at least three games this week, the week total breaking ties. The banger ranking is a week total, so an extra game counts for exactly what it adds; the points ranking looks for upside, so a fourth game does not lift a depth player past a first-unit one.
Weekly totals are each player's projected per-game rate times games played. The outside consensus averages the per-game rates of the published projection lists that carry games and stats; the last-season rate is the player's own 2025-26 per-game line, shown only with ten or more games behind it.
S+H+B is shots plus hits plus blocks. The raw total adds the three as if they were interchangeable; the weighted total counts each in shot units, scaled by how widely that stat varies across the league, so no single stat runs away with it. This week a hit counts 0.87 shots and a block 1.40. Blocks count for more than a shot because they vary the least, so an extra block separates players more than an extra shot does.
Power-play and penalty-kill share is measured over the games actually played: the player's seconds on the ice against the team's total in those games, so a stretch on the injured list does not read as a demotion. Lines come from each team's newest lineup, labelled by source.
