Connor Bedard will travel with the team for part of the trip, but he won’t be joining them on the ice for any practices

Luca Cagnoni said he was on the ice with Connor Bedard this summer when the 'Hawks captain suffered a freak shoulder injury during a skate in the Vancouver area. "Definitely a scary moment. You could hear a pin drop in that rink when that happened. It was a scary moment, but I saw a couple of videos that he's back. Happy about that."

The Blackhawks will race through systems prep and roster battles in their shortened training camp, which starts on-ice tomorrow. From Bedard's rehab to Del Mastro's in-flux situation to a puzzle of line combos, here are five storylines to follow: https://t.co/Sh4oWneZr8

From what I'm hearing, Connor Bedard's recovery is going as planned so far. He was expected to be skating at this point. He's obviously restricted what he can do on the ice for now. Whether he's deemed ahead of schedule and can return earlier will be something the Blackhawks assess as his rehab progresses.
