Each season's points per game times its league's translation factor (for example SHL 0.59, Liiga 0.54, AHL 0.44, Allsvenskan 0.38, CHL 0.28, J20 0.18): what a league's scoring has historically been worth in the NHL. A scoring translation, not a rating. A short current season is drawn lighter.
Drafted players from 2005 to 2019 (3,192 of them, including the ones who never made it) whose season at his age looked most like his 25-26: NHL, 68 GP, 0.38 NHL-equivalent at 21.6, after 0.23 the year before. Also matched on draft slot, height, playing against adults. Then their NHL careers.
