Not yet sure what to make of the group of players who aren't on the ice. Rutger McGroarty, Tristan Broz, Owen Pickering, Ryan Graves, Joel Blomqvist... Are they resting for the afternoon game tomorrow? Or simply awaiting the announcement? But Bill Zonnan is here.

Rutger McGroarty knows his skating needs to improve. But he's not sure about all the criticism. "Just because it’s not the prettiest…it’s just very easy to point out my skating...I’m never going to be the Connor McDavid out there, but I’m also not the worst skater on the ice.”

Notable lines and pairs from Group 2: • Chinakhov-Novak-Malkin • Kuzmenko-Kindel-Rust • Carlile-Karlsson • van Riemsdyk-Letang Lizotte centering a line with Koivunen and McGroarty is also interesting but seems less likely to stick.
