Mitchell Chaffee

RW · 28.7 years old · AHL 26-27

He does not play in the NHL yet, so this page carries what he has actually done rather than what we project. No forecast, no category value and no draft ranking: we model NHL seasons, and putting a number on a AHL season we do not model would look like analysis and be a guess.

Trajectory · NHL-equivalent points per game

Each season's points per game times its league's translation factor (for example SHL 0.59, Liiga 0.54, AHL 0.44, Allsvenskan 0.38, CHL 0.28, J20 0.18): what a league's scoring has historically been worth in the NHL. A scoring translation, not a rating. A short current season is drawn lighter.

Players with a similar profile

Drafted players from 2005 to 2019 (3,192 of them, including the ones who never made it) whose season at his age looked most like his 25-26: NHL, 11 GP, 0.09 NHL-equivalent at 27.6, after 0.27 the year before. Also matched on draft slot, height, playing against adults and centre or wing. Then their NHL careers.
